Did You Brave the Black Friday Crowds This Week?

Black Friday, the day following Thanksgiving is traditionally the start of the Christmas shopping season. Many retailers open very early (4am and earlier) and offer promotional sales to kick off the season.

I braved chilly temperatures and the crowds at Wal-Mart for a great deal on a TV. (Read my blog about my experience here).

Did you participate in the Black Friday craziness this year?

Where did you go?

What time did you leave your house?

What time did you get home?

What great deals did you get?

Was it worth it?

Went to Wal-Mart. I had a great time. It was an unexpected little get away with my wife and of course the deals were great. I would do it again. ..
Two words. Heck no.

I did cruise the online deals from home though :-)
I went to Walmart @ 8am. It was busy but everyone was well-behaved. It seemed like a lot of customers were buying 32 inch LCD TVs. I bought a cool speaker for my MP3 for only $10. Then I went to West Valley Mall. It was crowded as to be expected. There was a lot of people in Sears, a lot more than I've ever seen there. Even people lining up to buy washers & dryers! That was surprising. I enjoyed shopping on Black Friday as I was in retail for over 20 years and was on the other side of the register. This was more fun.
