Chilin at Chili's Happy Hour January 20, 2012

It was a great evening with 11 ladies showing. Fabulous ladies who all got to meet and make friends. It was a nice and relaxing evening. A shout out to the  manager at Chili's, Francesco, and Assistant Manager, Chris, for being awesome and very accomadating to our group! Our server, Joseph, was great, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of. Chili's was a great place to hold our first gathering for 2012.

We got to know a little interesting fact of each lady. It was  a blast!! They were great in playing the "phone stacking" game in order to be able to get to know each other better. Although the phones were ringing throughout the evening, the ladies went about chatting within the group.  At the end of the night, the ladies who didn't answer their phone (and it was all the ladies) qualified for a raffle drawing for a one year subscription for a magazine of their choice.  Those were Theresa, Kay, and Leila. Congratulations!

It was a fabulous night!

Are you going to wear your derby hats for the Girl's Night Out event on May 11th...? If you aren't one of the 10 reserved tickets, make sure you call the Grand theater to get your ticket.

The Birth of the Little Black Dress - 1925

Perhaps more than any other piece of clothing, the little black dress is, women have been told, the essential, the one that will take you practically anywhere. And perhaps more than any other designer, Coco Chanel was the one who made it ubiquitous. She did not invent the concept, of course, but according to Coco Chanel: The Legend and the Life (by Justi...ne Picardine), “the little black dress was not formally identified as the shape of the future until 1926, when American Vogue published a drawing of a Chanel design.… It was an apparently simple yet elegant sheath, in black crêpe de Chine, with long, narrow sleeves, worn with a string of white pearls; and Vogue proved to be correct in the prediction that it would become a uniform.…”See More
