Debbie, Personally, I would call what you do as a version of scrapbooking. What you do is close to what the Victorian Ladies would do. Gathering up pictures and "scraps" and creating another use for them.

Cheryl, The way I scrapbook is that I create my pages based on the pictures that "speak" to me. For the most part, I create general albums rather than theme albums.

I LOVE to snip pictures out of magazines and use them in my Art Journals. I don't actually do scrapbooking, but I love collage and altered books. I guess that close, can I still come to scrap with you all?

I think Scrapbook themes are nice but for youngsters, you should let them try their hand at it. I took up scrapbooking because I was made State historian for an organization I belong to for one year and found that it is fun. It is truly something the entire family can do.

Hello, I'm not very great at scrapbooking, but I am wanting to learn how to be better of course! I do have a question. I have an 8 year old son. I scrapbook for him and is it better to make scrapbook themes? Ex: Halloween book, Christmas book.. and have all the years in the theme books.. or is it better to focus on a year with all the themes? Opinions?
