Summer Photo Contest

Do you have a photo that you think best captures summer in Tracy? Enter it and you could win up to $200!

How to Enter:
Simply upload your photograph onto your profile and tag the photo as
tracyislandphotocontest2009
(all one word, double-check that you have added your tag correctly)

IMPORTANT:
If you do not tag the picture correctly, we will have no way of knowing that you want it to be included in the contest.

What we're looking for:
We want a photograph that best captures how beautiful Tracy can be in the summer.

How this contest works:
Members upload their photograph submission to their profile. A panel of judges will review the submissions and select 10 finalists. Once the finalists are announced on August 31, 2009, members of Tracy Island will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite photo. Photos will be on display at the Tracy Dry Bean festival. The 2 photographs with the most votes will win cash prizes. Various other consolation prizes will also be awarded.
PLEASE NOTE:
In order to vote, you must have uploaded a profile pic to your page.
Any votes cast by a member without a profile pic will not be counted!

Rules:
It must be an original photograph taken by you.

The photograph must be taken at a location in Tracy, California.

If the photograph includes people, you must have their consent to post the photograph on Tracy Island.

You must successfully upload the photograph to your Tracy Island profile and tag it "tracyislandphotocontest2009."

The photograph must not have been previously published in any media formats, online or in print.

The photograph must not have been a winner or honoree in any previous contests.

Only one (1) submission and one (1) vote per member. Members must be individuals and not a company.

In order to cast a vote that will be counted, the member voting must have a profile pic uploaded on their page.

The submission must not be defamatory, offensive or obscene or violate or infringe on the trademark,
copyright, publicity, privacy or other rights of any third party.

You must have a high resolution version of your photograph available that can be blown up for display
at the Tracy Dry Bean Festival September 12-13, 2009.

Contest submission and voting is open only to members of Tracy Island.

Avoid excessive editing.

Important Dates:
August 28, 2009 - deadline to upload your photo to your profile
August 29-30, 2009 - panel of judges will choose top ten finalists
August 31, 2009 - top ten finalists will be announced on this web site
September 1-12, 2009 - Tracy Island members will vote online for their favorite photo
September 13, 2009 - the winner will be announced at the Tracy Dry Bean Festival

Prizes:
First place - $200
Second place - $100
plus various consolation prizes
