Downtown Christmas decor

Well another year has passed since my last blog on the down towns Christmas decor. All I have to say is see last years blog but add "less decor" and you will have Christmas 2010.  It's beyond hope. I really feel for the merchants and see we now lost 3 more good ones.  When will the exit of store owners stop?

Driving over the "hill"

I would like to know who on Tracy Island has or had the longest commute over the hill. I will throw mine up for grabs. I drove for 30 years from Tracy to north west San Jose. About 64 miles each way. I burnt out 13 cars and had one minor accident that was ruled my fault, but got hit 4 times, all minor events. Lets hear from you real road warriors out there and your stories.
Have a great Christmas and New Years

Pleasanton statues

Have any of you been to downtown Pleasnton and seen the great statues on the street? they are so life like and the detail omg. Make the trip over the hill and note to the Tracy downtown, "Try to get them to Tracy when they leave Pleasnton". The statues have drawn many outsiders to the downtown from all over Ca.

Downtown Christmas/Holiday decor

I have lived in Tracy for over 29 years an never have I seen, or in this case not seen Christmas decorations or for you politicly correct types Holiday decor. What is with it downtown??? You moan and groan about the lack of business downtown yet give us shoppers less and less reason to shop downtown. I know we have lots of great merchants of which I feel for, having to compete for our dollar every Christmas with the malls and other towns If the downtown Assn or city is going to put nice… Continue

Hi Jason.....Thanks very much for you kind comments. So, you lost your bid to city council to the great Richard Pombo? Well, that would have been a tough one for anyone to win, but I'm sure you would have done the job equally well. We ought to get together and have a cup of coffee some morning and discuss local politics or the weather, which ever you want. Thanks again.............Larry Oh, and you can just e-mail me directly at larryhite@sbcglobal.net
