Sergio's Trattoria - on 11th across from the Tracy Inn
Sergio's was one of the first places I went when I moved to Tracy...in no small part because it's about 2 blocks from home! Let me just say...I'm really glad I'm not rich...because boy would I be fat from eating there all the time!

Dining out in Tracy
So I've noticed in the past year and a half that we don't always do a great job in Tracy of letting everyone know about awesome places to go out...to eat or for anything else. Johnny's Diner, over in the outlets has the best all American Food I've tried in Tracy...My husband gets the burgers and loves it. He's really picky about his burgers. I always get the same thing, the Philly Cheese steak which is to die and my kids get the Carne Cheese Fries. The meat is cut up just right. Highly recommended. P.S. Because I go there so often, I've collaborated with the owners Johnny and Gabby, and they have offered to donate 20% proceeds to our organization to those that bring in the flier available on our website. www.gecactracy.org under the fundraising tab.
My kids are into "Ghost Adventures" and my 11 year old wants to be a ghost hunter so we looked up haunted places near Tracy to check out. We came upon the Banta Inn which is an old saloon/restaurant said to be haunted by the old bartender and a woman and child that parished in a fire way back when. This place has a lot of history so we thought we'd go and check it out.
It's not far at all, just down Grant Line Rd to the next city, Banta, maybe 10 mn away from Downtown Tracy. Such an old school type feel, they have ping pong in the back and it's very eerie and interesting. I had the burger. It was very good. It has a sort of marinated taste which I enjoyed and the bread they serve it on is delish.
Those are my 2 burger suggestions.

- Listen, I just saw five police cars before sundown, at the corner of 11th & Corral Hollow. The person who was there told me, a group of kids supposedly gangs started a fight in the shopping center, near the UPS Store near Walgreens, and a couple of shots were fired by the supposed gang members. I knew it was seriouse when the police had their rifles and shotguns out. Maybe it will be in the TP tomorrow. Just what we all need, more gang violance.
