Corral Hollow Road Closure Starting August 8
Tracy, CA – Beginning August 8, 2011, Union Pacific Rail Road (UPRR) will be working on installing a new concrete crossing and signal arms at the railroad tracks located on Corral Hollow Road south of old Schulte Road. To facilitate this construction and for public safety reasons Corral Hollow Road between Valpico Road and Schulte Road will be closed to traffic from 8/8/11-8/14/11. The post card says: The project is being planned to enhance trafic safety, improve roadway operations and meet future traffic demands by reducing congestion to the 11th St / Grant Line / Kasson intersection in San Joaquin County. The county has adopted a special purpose plan that identifieds a perferred alternative for this projecft, which is the first phase of the improvements planned for the 11th St corridor.

- A post card was delivered in the mail to our house with the information. I believe it was from the planning department. I'll send you the details from the card after I get home, I don't have it with me. I think this information should get out so I appreciate if something can be posted about it. That intersection is dangerous enough now, and a round about I am afraid will make it more so. All the people entering from 205 to cut through town will block the circle and make it difficult for the residents to get through. I'll send the details when I have them in hand. Thanks, Candy
