Barbara Boxer Voting Record - I Need Help

I want to make an informed decision. I lived thru Carly at HP (I was not there, but, was in the tech industry and kept track of it). I actually thought buying Compaq was a good thing...guess not.

I hear sooo much about Boxer being in office for 28 years, raising taxes, spending money, etc etc. Can someone (preferably someone who spouts this information as easily as the commercials do) show me which of these votes over the past 28 years indicate that this is true (or not)?

You can change the year on the right.....this page is just 2010.

Thanks...

Yes it is hard. But really what you need to ask yourself is "Are things working now?". Unemployement is up, jobs are leaving California, home prices are going down. Will the other side fix the current problems probably not but at least they can stop the horrible spending that is going on.

We need to send a HUGE message to the people in power now. I thought we did that by electing President Obama but it has been pretty much business as usual. The country is just in ONE giant mess right now and we have to let some new blood in and stir things up.

Oh well...I have a bad feeling things are not going to change and that Boxer will stay in office and Brown will become Governor again and we are just going to sink further in the muck. So sad.

It is hard to find the truth.....I think I need to look at multiple sources and combine....

I don't trust the factcheck.org folks either :-) that link doesn't tell the entire story. It is HARD to get the real 'truth'. I just know I am tired of Boxer and we need some fresh faces in office. We can't keep going on the way we are :-(

I looked for some additional info on Boxer and the smelt (and the water issue comes with it).

I want to check out the Annenberg Foundation a bit more, but, I "think" (as of this moment) they are "objective".

The point I am trying to make is...you need to research the claims (not just blindly believe commercials or ads). There are multiple sides to every claim, and for me to make a valid voting decision...I need to know the facts (as best I can determine).

I can't point to any actual data but she has pretty much followed the Democratic party line in her voting straight down the line. I can't stand her! When she told that military man not to call her ma'am because she 'earned the right to be called Senator' well that was it for me. She is so full of herself. Another one of those democrats that 'Do as I say and I'll do what I want'.

Also she could have stopped the craziness about the smelt in the delta and helped to get water to the farmers in our area and refused to do so! Even went against Feinstein on that one!!!! She has been there WAY to long and needs to go. Am I excited about Carly? No, but I would take a new comer over Boxer any day!
