My wife and I homeschooled our two kids (son, daughter) for 13+ years... and during that time, we occasionally "hit the wall" when it came to getting ideas for teaching them and keeping them interested.
Too bad we didn't have the "Internet" as we know it today when we started/did our homeschool (we started in 1989).
But, since I have a degree in marine biology (biology/chemistry) and I've been a professional editor/writer for the likes of Livermore Lab, NASA, Cisco Systems, and Save Mart Supermarkets (!) and such, and since I've been published in many newspapers and magazines (including California Homeschooler Magazine, New Mexico Wildlife Magazine, Glimpses of Guam, Los Angeles Times, Tri-Valley Herald, Pacific Magazine, Pacific Islands Monthly Magazine, and others), I decided to revamp some of the stuff I did for them and compile them into Squidoo lenses for homeschoolers to enjoy (and to add to materials folks can use for helping their kids learn about their passions and interests)!
You can see my approach to this here:

If you know anyone who is homeschooling who'd like to get help or at least see some comforting guidelines (or even a public school teacher who has had her budget cut so she can't buy materials for her class), please feel free to pass on this link to them.

Dave (aka "EditorDave")
